Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, has expressed outrage over the NDC government’s handling of ministerial visits to constituencies.
In a leaked WhatsApp chat, trending on social media, A Plus vehemently stated that ministers must inform Members of Parliament when visiting their constituencies and involve them in their activities.
A Plus’s frustration stems from a recent incident where a minister believed to be Fisheries Minister visited his constituency without his knowledge.
He emphasized that Ghana’s largest fish farm is located in his constituency, and it is not the responsibility of the farm owners to inform him of the minister’s visit.
“If any minister visits my constituency without informing me, I will mobilize people to express their displeasure, record it, and share the video on social media,” A Plus warned.
He also made it clear that he wants to maintain a low profile for the next four years, urging others to help him achieve this goal.
In response to A Plus’s outburst, Joana Gyan Cudjoe, wife of Keche cautioned him against mobilizing people, suggesting that there are better ways to address the issue.
A Plus, however, remained resolute, stating that the NDC government is repeating the same mistakes made by the previous NPP administration.
