Atwima Nwabiagya South MP Saves Hospital With Equipment

In a heartwarming display of commitment to her constituents, Shirley Kyei, Member of Parliament for Atwima Nwabiagya South constituency in the Ashanti Region, has donated essential medical equipment to the Nkawie/Toase government hospital.

The donation, which took place on Monday, 3rd February, was part of her birthday celebrations. Items given out included 10 mattresses and a delivery bed for the maternity ward.

Shirley Kyei generosity is not a one-off event, but rather a testament to her dedication to improving the lives of her constituents.


As a representative of the people, she has consistently demonstrated her commitment to ensuring that her community has access to quality healthcare.

The donation was just one example of her efforts to address the healthcare needs of her constituents.

The Nkawie/Toase government hospital, which serves the residents of Nkawie/Toase and surrounding communities, has been facing challenges in providing effective healthcare services due to a lack of essential equipment.

Dr. Roberto Frank Fiifi Otchere, Medical Superintendent of the facility, who received the items expressed his gratitude to the MP for her generosity, highlighting that the donated equipment will greatly benefit the community, regardless of one’s political affiliations or other considerations.

The Afenahemaa of Nkawie, Nana Adom Akosua, was also present to represent the traditional authorities, expressing her gratitude to the MP for her kind gesture.

In addition to her work in healthcare, Mrs. Shirley Kyei has also been emphasizing the importance of healthy eating habits.

She has encouraged her constituents to be mindful of their food intake to maintain good health, noting that many illnesses in society are caused by poor dietary choices.
