Ghanaian Musician Sista Afia has revealed that she’s not looking for a relationship at the moment, citing past experiences that have left her heartbroken.
In an interview on Daybreak Hitz, Sista Afia opened up about her relationship status, stating that she’s actively avoiding romantic entanglements.
“I’m not looking. Honestly, I’m not looking for a relationship. I don’t need it for now,” Sista Afia emphasized.
“I do get approached, but I don’t get involved because it takes a lot of things away from me. I mean, I turn down a lot of people because I just want to put myself first.”
Sista Afia’s decision to focus on herself and her career comes after past relationships that didn’t end well.
“Past relationships didn’t go well for me, so I just want to be by myself,” she explained.
However, Sista Afia didn’t rule out the possibility of meeting someone special in the future.
“I’m not stopping anybody from coming though. When I see that you are the one, you are the one. If I know, I have to feel it. Every girl needs that,” she said with a smile.
Sista Afia’s comments also highlighted her growth and independence as an artist.
When asked about signing a 360 deal, she confidently stated that she’s built a strong brand and wouldn’t compromise her values.
“I’d sign a deal and not a label. I’d never sign a 360 whatever. I’d never do that, but I’d want a collaboration, distribution deals, publishing deals, promo deals, anything deals, but not signing.”
Sista Afia’s journey in the music industry spans over a decade, and her determination to maintain her independence and focus on her craft is admirable.
