Renowned media personality, Gloria Akpene Nyarko, popularly known as MzGee, has addressed recent reports that mistakenly linked her to her ex-husband, Raymond Acquah.
In a statement, MzGee clarified that she has been divorced from Acquah for two years and separated for three years, emphasizing that she has no legal or personal ties to him.
MzGee’s remarks came in response to congratulatory messages and blog posts that incorrectly added “Acquah” to her name after report emerged that she has put to bed.
She stressed that her official name is Gloria Akpene Nyarko, and she has no documentation bearing the name Acquah.
The media personality’s decision to set the record straight stems from her desire to avoid confusion about her son’s paternity.
The ex-couple got married while working together at the Multimedia Goup, before she moved to Media General and lately UTV where is currently on maternity leave.
MzGee expressed her concern, stating, “I don’t want my son growing up to be confused about his paternity. I have no business with Raymond Acquah.”
MzGee’s clarification serves as a reminder to respect individuals’ privacy and accuracy in reporting.
