Nigerian Actress, Rita Dominic has found herself at the center of controversy after reports emerged that she had prevented certain media persons from filming her at the recent birthday celebration of Ghanaian businessman Richard Nii-Armah Quaye.
However, Dominic has come out to deny these claims, stating that she has nothing but respect for the press.
She was a guest at Quaye’s plush birthday party, which took place at the Independence Square on March 22, 2025.
The event was attended by a pool of influencers, celebrities, and wealthy businessmen from across Africa and beyond.
Dominic was joined by fellow Nigerian celebrities, including Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo, and Toke Makinwa.
However, after the party, reports began to circulate that Rita Dominic had interrupted media coverage at the event.
Taking to her Instagram story on March 24, 2025, Dominic dismissed the claims as entirely false.
“Duhh! A person who does the kind of job I do and is out in a public place would not stop the press from doing their job. That’s lame. Stop making up stories that don’t make sense,” she wrote.
Dominic emphasized that she respects the press and understands their role in her public life. As a public figure, she acknowledged that it would be unreasonable for her to prevent journalists from doing their jobs.
Instead, she urged the public to refrain from spreading unfounded stories.
