According to eyewitness Rev. Francis Nyamekye, the soldiers confronted the youth for wearing camouflage clothing, which led to a confrontation.
The situation escalated, and the military allegedly shot into the crowd, resulting in the death and injuries.
Casualties
One person died at the scene, while five others were rushed to the Nyinahin Government Hospital.
One of the injured was later transferred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for further treatment.

Investigation
Neither the police nor the military has commented on the incident.
Unconfirmed reports suggest that the deceased and injured persons may have been involved in an illegal activity, but this has not been verified.
The use of camouflage attire by civilians has been a contentious issue in Ghana.
While there are no specific laws prohibiting the wearing of camouflage, it is generally frowned upon due to its association with the military.
