Investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has categorically denied allegations made by Bishop Daniel Obinim, founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church.
In a video circulating online, Bishop Obinim claimed that Anas Aremeyaw Anas contacted him to join a lawsuit against former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.
“Tiger Eye PI’s attention has been drawn to a video circulating on social media, along with media reports, in which the founder and leader of the International God’s Way Church, Bishop Daniel Obinim, alleges that investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas contacted him to persuade him to join a lawsuit against Mr. Kennedy Agyapong,” a statement from Tiger Eye PI read.
However, Anas has refuted these claims, stating that they are “entirely false and, at best, a fabrication.”
“Tiger Eye PI categorically refutes these claims and urges the general public to disregard them,” the statement emphasized.
Anas Aremeyaw Anas stated that he is fully aware of the legal remedies available to him and does not require or seek the support of Bishop Obinim to pursue legal redress when necessary.
“As a lawyer with years of experience, Anas Aremeyaw Anas is fully aware of the legal remedies available to him. He does not require or seek the support of Bishop Obinim to pursue legal redress when necessary,” the statement explained.
Furthermore, Anas stated that he has no knowledge of Bishop Obinim’s contact details or residential address, making any alleged interaction between them “not only implausible but impossible.”
