The Member of Parliament for the Ayensuano, in the Eastern Region, Ida Adjoa Asiedu of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has embarked on the second phase of her “Thank You” tour across the constituency, reaffirming her dedication to development and grassroots engagement.
The tour commenced on Saturday from the Bepoase Electoral Area.
On Sunday, she continued her journey with visits to Amanase, Teacher Mante, Mankrong, and Aboabo, communities that significantly contributed to her electoral victory in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
The tour took her to churches and had community engagements to express her gratitude to the constituents.
During the first phase tour last month, starting from the Dockrochiwa Electoral Area, she engaged with the constituents and assured them of her support to lift them up.
The objective of the tour was to formally express her appreciation to the chiefs, religious leaders, and constituents who supported her bid to represent them in Parliament.

Despite her party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, not securing the presidency, Ida Adjoa Asiedu secured a firm win at the parliamentary level—an achievement many attributed to her personal dedication, community presence, and resonant campaign messages.
She paid courtesy calls on traditional authorities, seeking their blessings and reinforcing her commitment to work hand in hand with local leaders.
“I am here to thank you for your unwavering support and to ask for your continued guidance as we work together to bring development to Ayensuano,” she stated.

In response, several chiefs highlighted the urgent need for infrastructural improvements and called on the MP to prioritize the development of neglected communities.
They also pledged their support for her parliamentary tenure, acknowledging her grassroots appeal and campaign efforts.
The MP also made stops at local churches, where she offered thanksgiving to God and expressed appreciation to congregations for their spiritual and electoral backing.
“Without your prayers and encouragement, this journey would not have been possible,” she told the congregation.
At every stop, she held community durbars to engage directly with residents, listen to their concerns, and reassure them of her determination to serve regardless of her party’s position in national government.
“I know our government is not in power, but that does not change my commitment to you,” she emphasized during an interaction in Amanase.

“Together, we can push for the development Ayensuano deserves. I will not relent in lobbying for what is rightfully ours.”
Known for her focus on infrastructure, education, healthcare, and empowerment programs, the MP reiterated her pledge to implement her campaign promises.
In her previous engagements, she advocated for better road networks, improved school facilities, and opportunities for women and youth—a vision she is eager to bring to life during her tenure.
Her electoral success has been hailed as a key victory for the NPP in the Eastern Region, with political observers noting her ability to connect with constituents across political divides.
