Black Stars In For Crucial World Cup Qualifiers

The Senior National team, the Black Stars, is set to open camp on Sunday as they prepare for their final two fixtures in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

The team will face the Central African Republic and Comoros in Matchday 9 and 10 encounters later this month.

According to Henry Asante Twum, Communications Director of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), players who feature in club matches on Saturday will report to camp on Sunday, while those playing on Sunday will join the squad on Monday.

The team will then head to Morocco, where home-based players who make the cut will join the contingent.

Final Squad List

Asante Twum revealed that head coach Otto Addo has already submitted and defended his final squad list for the upcoming qualifiers.

This list will determine the players who will represent Ghana in the crucial matches against the Central African Republic and Comoros.

Upcoming Matches

The Black Stars will play the Central African Republic at the Stade d’Honneur de Meknes in Morocco on October 8, with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT.

They will then host Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12. These matches are crucial for Ghana’s World Cup qualification hopes.

Coaching Staff’s Expectations

With the final squad list submitted, the coaching staff will focus on preparing the team for the challenges ahead.

The Black Stars will need to perform well in these matches to keep their World Cup dreams alive.
