In a groundbreaking move to revolutionize healthcare access across Africa, E-Clinic Africa, a pioneering telehealth platform, will present its innovative approach to leveraging AI and telehealth at the upcoming UNESCO Center for Peace West Africa Spring Conference.

The conference, set to take place from April 24-28 at DPS International in Accra, Ghana, will bring together experts from diverse fields to explore the transformative potential of AI and digital technologies.

This initiative is a collaborative effort by E-Clinic Africa and the US-based UNESCO Center for Peace, in partnership with KNUST and DPS International.

According to Dr. Charles K.A. Yorke, founder and CEO of E-Clinic Africa, “Our platform offers a hybrid healthcare approach, enabling patients to consult providers virtually or in person at our facility. We believe that AI and telehealth hold the key to expanding healthcare access across the continent.”

The E-Clinic Africa mobile health app, developed by Dr. Yorke and his wife, Dr. Afua A. Yorke, a medical physicist, provides a unique solution to the challenges of healthcare access in Africa.

The app allows patients to access quality healthcare services remotely, reducing the need for physical visits to healthcare facilities.

In a statement, Dr. Afua Yorke noted, “Our goal is to make healthcare more accessible, affordable, and effective. We believe that AI and telehealth can help us achieve this goal.”

The UNESCO Center for Peace, under the leadership of Guy Djoken, has been at the forefront of promoting innovation and education globally.

The collaboration with E-Clinic Africa aligns with this vision, showcasing the potential of AI and digital health technologies to transform healthcare delivery.

At the conference, E-Clinic Africa will present insights on leveraging telehealth and AI to enhance healthcare access in Ghana.

The session, titled “AI for Healthcare Professionals,” will explore the opportunities and challenges of implementing AI-driven healthcare solutions in Africa.

Other sessions at the conference will include discussions on AI for Business Leaders, Managers, and Policymakers, AI for Students and Educators, and AI for Filmmakers, Journalists, and Researchers.

Dr. Charles K.A. Yorke emphasized, “The future of healthcare in Africa is digital. We must harness the power of AI and telehealth to expand healthcare access and improve health outcomes.”
