Kwahu Easter 2025 was nothing short of extraordinary, and this year’s climax at Obomeng was the undisputed highlight, thanks to a show-stopping concert over the weekend.
Thousands of revelers thronged the Kwahu hills for the much-anticipated Easter Monday celebration, headlined by Ghanaian music sensations Adina, Patapaa, King Paluta and Lil Win, among others.
The event brought together a cross-section of music lovers, partygoers, and curious tourists for a night of energy, emotion, and entertainment which began as a modest music night four years ago, has evolved into one of the flagship celebrations of the Kwahu Easter calendar.
This year, organizers pulled all the stops to make it an unforgettable affair—and they succeeded.
The night kicked off with a glamorous performance by Adina Thembi, who graced the stage in a radiant outfit and delivered a soulful set that immediately raised the bar.
Her commanding vocals, backed by a live band, gave fans an immersive experience, as she performed some of her biggest hits including “Too Late” and “Why”.
Adina’s chemistry with the crowd was undeniable, drawing applause and singalongs from a sea of fans who had traveled from across the country to witness her live.
Just when the crowd thought they had seen it all, the lights dimmed and the stage erupted as Patapaa, the king of surprises, made an unannounced appearance.
The Agona Swedru-based hitmaker—best known for his viral anthem “One Corner”—turned the already charged atmosphere into a full-blown street carnival. Clad in his signature eccentric style, Patapaa delivered an electrifying set filled with crowd favorites, slapstick energy, and spontaneous fan interaction.
The event reached its crescendo with Kwadwo Nkansah, aka Lil Win, who proved once again why he is more than just a comic actor.
Taking the mic just past midnight, Lil Win held the stage for over two hours in a performance that fused music, comedy, and life lessons.
He connected deeply with the crowd, pausing midway through his act to share a moving personal story. “Don’t envy anyone,” he said.
“Success is in God’s hands. Just believe in yourself and trust Him.”
Lil Win’s set included a blend of gospel, highlife, and hiplife tracks—an intentional mix that kept the crowd fully engaged.
As a final treat, he brought Patapaa back on stage for a joint performance of their collaboration, “Who Is Handsome”.
The comic banter between the two artists drew raucous laughter and ended the night on a high note.
By the time daylight broke over Obomeng, fans were still dancing, snapping selfies, and chanting lyrics from the night’s biggest hits.
The concert had not only entertained—it had brought people together in celebration, proving once again that music remains a unifying force in Ghana’s cultural fabric.
