Kwasi Pratt Jr., Managing Editor of the Insight Newspaper, has gone to town condemning the various appointments made by President John Mahama as nonsense.
According Pratt whose daughter is holding key position in the current administration as the press secretary to the Vice President, the appointments by the president are politically induced at all levels. This is “anti-national and stupid”
“What’s happening in our country? What about those who dont belong to political parties, are they not human beings anymore”, Pratt fumes.
He said people should not lose their citizenship simply because a political party has taken over. “This is nonsense”, he screamed.
Kwesi Pratt’s comments come amidst growing concerns over the appointment of NDC footsoldiers to key sectors of the economy with no experience, relegating technocrats to the backstage.
Speaking on Alhaji and Alhaji show on his Pan African TV, he also made reference to the appointments by the previous government.
He cited the appointment of Dr. Peter Appiahene, whom he said he is an NPP sympathiser to the Electoral Commission, describing it as “blatantly discriminatory”.
He emphasized the need for greater accountability, transparency, and competence within the Electoral Commission.
Kwasi Pratt’s comments underscore the need for a more inclusive and transparent approach to governance in Ghana.
He emphasized, “Ghana does not belong to Mahama or NDC” highlighting the importance of putting national interests above partisan politics.
