A shocking case of suspected rape and murder has left the Twifo Praso community in fear after a teenage girl, identified as Nana Zinabu, was found dead in her bedroom under suspicious circumstances.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning at Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti Morkwa district of the Central Region.
According to an eyewitness who shared a residence with the victim, she discovered the lifeless body of the teenager at approximately 4:30 a.m. while preparing food for sale.
The eyewitness, whose identity has been withheld, narrated that upon waking up, she observed that Nana Zinabu’s door was ajar.
Sensing something unusual, she entered the room, only to be met with a horrifying scene.
The 18- to 19-year-old victim was found lying naked with her mouth sealed with an adhesive substance, suspected to be super glue.
Nearby, three used condoms and apples were also discovered, deepening the mystery surrounding her death.
Panicked, the eyewitness raised an alarm, drawing the attention of other residents, who quickly reported the matter to the Praso Police Station
The Police arrived at the scene to assess the situation before transferring the victim’s body to the Twifo Atti Morkwa District Hospital for further examination and autopsy.
Nana Zinabu, who was expected to complete her sewing apprenticeship this year, was well-known in the community.
Her tragic and untimely death has left residents deeply unsettled, particularly given the brutal nature of the crime.
In response to the incident, the Police have assured the public that a full-scale investigation is underway to uncover the circumstances surrounding the murder.
