Kofi Adoma Weeps Over Eye Injury, Calls For Help

Renowned Ghanaian broadcast journalist, Kofi Adoma Nwanwani, has made an emotional appeal for help after surviving a traumatic eye injury.

In a heart-wrenching press conference, Kofi Adoma broke down in tears as he recounted the harrowing experience that has left him with severe eye damage.

The incident occurred in December 2024, when Kofi Adoma was covering a festival in Dormaa.

He was shot in the eye during the firing of musketry, leaving him with severe pain and vision loss.

Despite undergoing multiple surgeries, Kofi Adoma’s eye condition remains precarious, and he is still seeking medical attention abroad.

“I’ve had seven eye surgeries, and I’m still struggling to see,” Kofi Adoma said, his voice cracking with emotion.

“I’m appealing to the public to help me raise funds for my medical treatment. I’m not giving up hope, but I need your support.”

Kofi Adoma’s emotional plea has sparked widespread sympathy and outrage, with many Ghanaians calling for justice and accountability.

The Ghana Police Service has come under fire for its handling of the case, with Kofi Adoma expressing disappointment over the lack of progress in the investigation.

“I reported the incident to the police, but nothing has been done,” Kofi Adoma said.

“It’s like they’re not taking my case seriously. I’m calling on the authorities to take action and bring the perpetrator to justice.”

Kofi Adoma’s ordeal has also highlighted the need for better protection and support for journalists in Ghana.
