In a dramatic turn of events, the Koforidua High Court has ordered a substituted service on Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Member of Parliament for Nsawam Adoagyiri.
This move comes after court bailiffs were unable to serve Annoh-Dompreh with court summons, despite a previous directive to use all possible means.
The case, brought by National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate Fummey Selorm Philibert, challenges the Electoral Commission’s declaration of Annoh-Dompreh as the MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri.
Presiding Judge, Justice George Krofa Addae, has directed that the writ of summons be served on Annoh-Dompreh through various public channels, including community radio stations, information centers, and public notice boards.
The Minority Chief Whip, Frank Annoh-Dompreh’s evasive tactics have raised eyebrows, with the NDC Constituency Secretary, Noah Agbeko Dumenya, accusing him of deliberately avoiding service.
The court has also directed that copies of the summons be posted at Annoh-Dompreh’s official residence and the New Patriotic Party’s constituency office.
Meanwhile, the case has been adjourned to March 14, 2025, leaving many to wonder if Annoh-Dompreh will finally face the music.
