The football community came together to pay their last respects to the late Diogo Jota, a Liverpool player who tragically lost his life in a car crash in Spain on July 2, 2025.
Jota, 28, and his brother, André Silva, 25, were found dead near Zamora in northwestern Spain after the Lamborghini they were driving crashed on an isolated stretch of highway and burst into flames.
Funeral Service
The funeral service was held at Igreja Matriz church in the Portuguese town of Gondomar, where Jota had a home.
Liverpool players, including Joe Gomez, Arne Slot, and Alexis Mac Allister, attended the service, along with Portugal’s national team coach Roberto Martínez and several top Portuguese players.
