In a sweeping effort to root out corruption and ensure transparency in government dealings, Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mubarak, has launched a comprehensive review of land exchange agreements and public-private partnership (PPP) arrangements within the Ministry and its agencies.
This bold move is set to send shockwaves through the corridors of power, as the Minister seeks to restore public trust and accountability in the management of Ghana’s resources.
At the heart of this initiative is a three-member committee, inaugurated by the Minister, to scrutinize past land deals and PPP arrangements, and provide recommendations for future transactions.
This committee’s work is expected to be meticulous, leaving no stone unturned in its quest to uncover any wrongdoing or irregularities.
Collins Dauda, Member of Parliament for Asutifi South, who is part of the committee, has assured that the team will work tirelessly to present a comprehensive report, capturing all concerns and recommendations, to guide the Ministry in its decision-making process.
The Minister’s decision to launch this review is a testament to his commitment to transparency and accountability.
