Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko has categorically denied rumours circulating online that he plans to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife.
In a statement released by his office, Nwoko described the allegations as “entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation”.
This is not the first time Nwoko has been embroiled in marriage rumours.
In 2020, there were reports that he was planning to take a seventh wife, with several women being mentioned as potential brides, including Phyllis Thompson, a sportsperson and mining company owner, and a young lady identified as official_estherbright on social media.
However, none of these rumours have been confirmed.
Nwoko, a politician and lawyer, has been married six times and has several children.
His wives include Barrister Lily Nwoko, Laila Charani, Lina, and Regina Daniels, a Nollywood actress who he married in 2019.
The senator’s office has warned the public to disregard the rumours and rely only on official statements from his office.
Nwoko is currently focused on delivering on his political mandate and has no time for distractions, according to his office.
It’s worth noting that Nwoko has been a public figure for many years, and as such, he is no stranger to controversy and rumours.
However, his office has consistently denied any allegations that are deemed untrue, and it seems that this latest rumour is no exception.
