In a shocking revelation, broadcast journalist Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah has hinted that his recent arrests by the National Security was a deliberate conspiracy orchestrated by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi using his ex-girlfriend.
Speaking on his hard hitting show “For The Records” on Wednesday evening, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah claimed that Sammy Gyamfi conspired with his ex-girlfriend, Anne Sansa Daly, to disgrace him because of his criticism of the NDC government on his show, especially the proposed Goldbod deal being championed by the Precious Minerals Marketing Company PMMC headed by Sammy Gyamfi.
Afrifa-Mensah said the arrest was politically motivated and not just about his ex-girlfriend.
He alleged that the PMMC boss, Sammy Gyamfi and the NDC were behind the conspiracy to disgrace him, because he spoke against the GoldBod which he said was not different from Agyapa deal by the previous government.
“I was told that Andeli reported me and said I have her nudes and I am blackmailing her with them,” Afrifa said.
He continued “I told them to bring evidence, and so they took me home and took what they wanted and said they were going to investigate me.”
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah explained that the Police Cyber Unit which is handling the case now seized his two mobile phones and laptop to verify the allegations, but found no evidence of wrongdoing.
He denied having any nude videos of the complainant saying that his arrest was politically motivated.
“I dated this lady six years ago, so I won’t talk about how toxic she is,” Okatakyie said.
“However, I picked intel that they have a dossier on her, and so she should be careful.”
Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah also alleged that his ex-girlfriend had edited their conversation to suit her agenda before reporting him to the cybercrime unit of the Ghana Police Service.
He claimed that the lady at the center of the sextortion allegation is a hard core NDC member who has doling out information to US-based Kelvin Taylor.
Last week, the National Security arrested him over allegations that some operatives are involved in galamsey.
“She edited the messages I shared with her for it to look as though I was saying I had her nude videos,” the broadcast journalist said.
In response Okatakyie’s allegations, Anne Sansa Daly took to Facebook to deny any wrongdoing.
“Fellow Ghanaians, I have no ex’s besides my ex-husband,” she wrote.
“Anyone claiming to be an ex of mine is a big fan. Most importantly, I don’t argue with people I’ve single-handedly fed. If you have any personal case with me, please take it up with my lawyer.”
Okatakyie urged the lady to go to court if truly he had any sextortion case against him.
