Promising Ghanaian Football Administrator Murdered In His Farm

The Ghanaian football community is reeling from the tragic and brutal murder of Jonas Sena Dorho, a young and visionary football administrator and entrepreneur, who was killed on Good Friday, April 18, 2025.

Dorho, owner of Division Two side Nkoranza Adehyea FC in the Bono East Region, was found dead on his farmland under mysterious circumstances.

The identity of the assailants remains unknown, and authorities are yet to establish a motive.

In addition to his role in football, Dorho was a passionate agribusiness entrepreneur and founder of Jon-Dor Ventures, a company specializing in the sale of Ammonium Sulphate fertilizer.

Known for his dedication to youth empowerment and community development, Dorho had set his sights on elevating his club to the Ghana Premier League.

His work with Nkoranza Adehyea FC was already making waves in regional football circles, with the club playing a significant role in grassroots talent development.

“He was one of the brightest young minds in Ghanaian football administration.

He had vision, drive, and above all, he cared about the people,” a close associate, who wished to remain anonymous, told reporters.

“His death is a huge loss not only to his family but also to the future of football in this country.”

The Nkoranza Municipal Football Association and the Brong Ahafo Regional Football Association (BARFA) have both confirmed his death. BARFA expressed their condolences in an official statement:

“BARFA mourns with the entire Nkoranza Adehyea FC family for the tragic loss of the team owner. Our prayers and thoughts are with the team and the family during this difficult time.”

Police investigations are currently underway, and local leaders have called for calm, urging residents to cooperate with law enforcement to help bring the perpetrators to justice.
