In a move aimed at strengthening its legal prowess, the Minority Caucus in Parliament has appointed John Darko, the Member of Parliament for Suame, as its Legal Counsel.
This development was announced in a letter signed by Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin on Friday, March 7.
As the MP for Suame, John Darko brings a wealth of experience to his new role.
Although he is not as seasoned as his predecessor, Osei-Kyei-Mensah Bonsu, who had been a member of parliament for Suame Constituency for seventh consecutive times.
John Darko’s expertise in legal matters makes him well-suited to represent the Minority Caucus.
According to the Minority Leader’s letter, John Darko’s responsibilities will include representing the Caucus on legal and constitutional cases, providing legal advice on constitutional matters, and participating in interviews, press conferences, and public events.
He is expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality in his role.
This appointment is a strategic move by the Minority Caucus to bolster its legal team and effectively navigate the complexities of parliamentary proceedings.
With John Darko at the helm, the Minority Caucus is poised to present a stronger, more unified front in its advocacy for the interests of its constituents.
