Thanksgiving Service Held For Seth Acheampong

A grand Thanksgiving Service was held at the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ascension Congregation – Koforidua, on Sunday, to honour Seth Acheampong, the immediate past Eastern Regional Minister, for his exceptional stewardship over the past four years.

The event brought together a plethora of distinguished personalities, including traditional rulers, former government officials, and political leaders, to celebrate Seth Acheampong’s remarkable achievements.

Seth Acheampong, who assumed office as the Eastern Regional Minister in March 2021, expressed his gratitude to the church, pastors, and faith-based organizations for their immense support during his tenure.

He also urged Ghanaians to set politics aside now that elections are over and to support the current administration, led by President John Dramani Mahama, in advancing national development.

The Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Ascension Congregation – Koforidua, and the Akuapem Presbytery honored Acheampong with a citation recognizing his contributions to the church’s growth and his efforts in fostering collaboration between the church and government institutions.

This recognition is a testament to Acheampong’s commitment to serving the people of the Eastern Region and his dedication to promoting national development.

During his tenure, Seth Acheampong worked tirelessly to improve the infrastructure and economy of the Eastern Region.

He highlighted several development interventions, both completed and ongoing, under the leadership of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, including improvements to key infrastructure to facilitate economic development within the region.

Seth Acheampong’s leadership and commitment to service have left a lasting impact on the Eastern Region, and his recognition by the Presbyterian Church of Ghana is a well-deserved tribute to his hard work and dedication.

The ceremony was attended by notable figures such as Rev. Prof. J.O.Y. Mante, former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana; Otoobour Djan Kwasi II, Chief of Aburi, accompanied by other prominent chiefs; Kwasi Amoako-Attah, Former Roads and Highways Minister and MP for Atiwa West; and Akwasi Boateng Adeji, former Deputy Minister for Local Government and Rural Development and MP for New Juaben North. Additionally, former and current MMDCEs, Coordinating Directors, Regional Directors, Presiding Members, Assembly Members, NPP executives, and party faithful across the region were also present.
